What you'll be doing
You will participate as part of a team to conduct risk-based audits related to AML/ATF line of business and operations audits. As an Audit Manager, you will review the design and operating effectiveness of processes and controls to assess if they are adequate to mitigate the regulatory risks.You will work collaboratively with your team and audit clients for timely completion of audit engagements.

How you'll succeed
• Audit execution – Assess key business risks and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of related processes and controls; identify and communicate internal control weaknesses and inefficiencies to business line management. Advise management and business partners of best practices and promote compliance with CIBC policies and procedures, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Deficiency Management – Review artifacts supporting the corrective action plans agreed with client management and assess whether they remediate the risks.
• Project management - Effectively manage multiple audit assignments at different stages of the audit cycle and complete required tasks on a timely basis. Communicate regularly with the team and manager to provide updates on progress.
Who you are
• You have in-depth understanding of Canadian AML and sanctions regulatory requirements; Audit experience is an asset, but not essential.
• You can demonstrate knowledge of AML and sanctions processes related to banking products and services gained through experience working in or closely supporting first line business teams or working in 2nd line AML functions.
