Job Summary
Responsible for providing legal services and counseling with respect to a wide range of matters encompassing all facets of corporate law, including but not limited to contracts, real estate leases and licenses, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory matters, and labor relations. Plans, conducts and supervises legal assignments, necessitating ability to evaluate matters which may have a major bearing on the conduct of the company's business. Reviews, prepares and edits a wide variety of agreements and documents. Works with, facilitates communication among, and proficiently handles complex legal matters or projects with various business groups. Provides legal assistance to members of the company's management teams and employees at all levels; including the corporate office and the operating divisions. Also supervises and manages legal activities of outside counsel.

Essential Functions
• Tackle assigned legal matters with sound legal judgment and a focus on business results.
• Provide practical advice and counsel with respect to corporate legal issues to the Company's divisions and the corporate office as assigned.
• Draft, review, and edit commercial contracts, including purchase orders, sales contracts, and real estate agreements.
• Draft, review and edits contracts relating to employee law.
• Supervise the services of outside counsel ensuring that quality legal services are being provided at reasonable costs.
• Serve as advisor and sounding board to the Company's management team and employees on a range of business decisions.
• Organize, manage and prioritize a diverse work load in an efficient manner with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Education
• J.D. from an ABA or state bar accredited law school with exceptional academic performance - top 20% of class.

Experience
• 3-5 years experience as a practicing corporate attorney with a credible law firm, including broad-based experience dealing with contracts, mergers and acquisitions, real estate and related regulatory work or labor relations work.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• In-depth knowledge of general corporate, real estate, commercial contracts, antitrust or securities regulation, labor relations law
• Highly skilled in oral and written communications and negotiations, with the ability to simply and clearly communicate complex ideas and concepts to multiple audiences
• Must have the ability to thoroughly analyze legal and factual issues and arrive at sound conclusions
• Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to quickly generate trust and credibility due to interpersonal and listening skills, willingness to learn, business knowledge, and work ethic
• Effectively establishes and maintains highly effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and with outside parties
• Ability to organize and manage a heavy and diverse workload, including multiple tasks, priorities, deadlines, and shifting client requirements
• Approachable, while maintaining the ability to provide straightforward information and advice to internal clients
• Self-managed, requiring minimal supervision to accomplish goals

Other Requirements
• Some travel may be required
• Primarily indoors in an office setting, often involving extended periods of sitting and computer work.
