Associate Underwriter Job Description: AEGIS Insurance Services, Inc. ("AEGIS") has an immediate opening for an Associate Underwriter to ensure the development and delivery of consistently superior, properly underwritten insurance products through analyzing pertinent information, understanding risk characteristics and Member-Policyholders' needs, and building and maintaining relationships with brokers and risk managers thus enabling Member-Policyholders to achieve the lowest overall long-term cost of risk. Responsibilities include maintaining a portfolio of underwriting accounts, and achieving underwriting profitability objectives by evaluating, accepting, rejecting, or modifying risk and coverage conditions within limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established Underwriting Guidelines, Letters of Authority and Quality Standards. An applicant's placement within this range is based on their individual qualifications and professional experience.
