Associate Scientist, Face R&D Role reports to: Associate Director, Face Moisture R&D Location: North America, United States, New Jersey, Skillman Work Location: Hybrid What you will do Kenvue is recruiting for a Associate Scientist, Face R&D within the Skin Health & Beauty Department, located in Summit, NJ. The Associate Scientist will support the product development of new skincare products and the maintenance of existing products within the Facial moisture category regionally and globally. The primary responsibilities of this role will include hands-on laboratory development of new product innovations and support of extensions to our existing product portfolio. This role is designed for someone with a passion for laboratory experimentation and scale-up execution.The Associate Scientist is a supporting team member for multiple technical projects at various stages of development and complexity under direct supervision. They will also partner closely with cross-functional teams to assess technical risks, proactively resolve challenges, and ensure products effectively address consumer and healthcare professional needs and achieve successful launches. Key responsibilities of this role include the following: - Support facial moisture formulations development and execute project deliverables for regional and global initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional partners to support project timelines and milestones. - Design and execute laboratory experiments, including batching, stability testing, and data analysis under the guidance of the manager - Provide technical support across the product lifecycle, including process development activities, product maintenance, and troubleshooting. - Follow established standards and practices (e.g., GDP, GLP, GMP) and support compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements - Advises on project obstacles and technical risks, evaluating potential solutions to minimize impact through data-driven decision-making. - Prioritize tasks across projects to meet deliverables and update stakeholders of risks and product launch progress. - Maintain accurate and organized records of project documents, data, and materials. - Assist in drafting technical documents, including development summary reports, specifications, and patent filings. What We Are Looking For Required Qualifications - A minimum of a bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of experience OR a master’s degree with 0-1 years of experience is required.
