Full Job Description
A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As an Associate Production Planner at MKS Instruments, you will coordinate domestic factory workflow so that we meet our customer demands on time. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Mgr, Materials.

You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Develop weekly production schedules consistent with business objectives; release and hands-on management of manufacturing jobs to support plans
  • Manage scheduled sales order ship dates to meet customer needs; team with internal groups to improve on time fulfillment to customer request dates
  • Assist the S&OP team to improve manufacturing capacity planning processes and implement master demand/master production planning tools
  • Liaise between the demand and supply sides of the business to resolve capacity or critical material imbalances impacting on time shipment
  • Leverage component material categories to monitor lead time and inventory position; recommend improvements in acquisition and inventory control processes to minimize slow moving/obsolescent inventories
  • Participate in new product/process development, assisting in development of launch plans and driving disposition of existing products and materials
  • Provide input for systemic responses or changes in cases of labor or material shortages, backlog management, product/process design changes, and other potential schedule interruptions
  • Track KPI's and publish updates, including production output vs. plan, on time shipment vs. request and promise dates, inventory and safety stock levels, others as requested or identified


Skills You Bring:
  • A bachelor's degree or 4 years of planning experience with professional APICS CPIM certification


Preferred:
  • Internship or co-ops in a planning, supply chain or similar role strongly preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Ideas for development of concepts and techniques; completing tasks in creative and effective ways preferred
  • Willingness to work with diverse teams and demonstrate a cooperative, team-first attitude


Salary Pay Range: $61,00 - $101,00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
