POSITION SUMMARY:The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with regional and international clients on a wide range of complex transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, join ventures, corporate restructuring, shareholder relations, recapitalizations, demergers, leveraged buyouts, and defenses against unsolicited takeover attempts, strategic advisory assignments and executions of public and private capital markets transactions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:The Private Equity Associate will play a key role in evaluating, executing and monitoring investments across the firm's portfolio, including:
- Build and analyze detailed financial models and valuations
- Drive diligence workstreams and coordinate third-party advisors
- Prepare investment committee materials and deal summaries
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives
- Conduct market and industry research
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:- Strong analytical, modeling and presentation skills
- Detail-oriented, collaborative and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal written communication skills
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:- 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, consulting or private equity
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or related field
- Asset-backed finance, specialty finance or depository experience
LOCATION and COMPENSATION:- This role will be based in our NY office.
- Base compensation is expected to be $130,000 - $150,000 with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
