Associate Manager, Society Relations, AMER
About the role: As Associate Manager, Society Relations, you'll help the Americas Society Relations function run effectively and at scale. You’ll own and continuously improve the region’s recurring engagement processes, coordinate annual business-planning cycles, turn portfolio data into insight, and strengthen how the team works.
You'll also be the continuity point of contact for an assigned portfolio of societies: keeping institutional knowledge, documenting commitments and follow-through, and supporting relationship continuity through leadership transitions and planning cycles. Reporting to the regional Society Relations leader, you'll work with a significant degree of independence, and build the experience to facilitate society consultations and planning discussions on your own over time.
Responsibilities: - Coordinate the delivery of the AMER engagement model across the regional portfolio, including society engagement activities, consultations, training, communications and outreach.
- Act as the continuity contact for your assigned societies, partnering with Society Operations and Relationship Managers to coordinate annual planning, operational reviews and engagement activities, while maintaining clear records of commitments and follow-through.
- Serve as a regional point of contact for AMER-based Presidents Council Representatives, coordinating requests, information sharing and support for regional initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate regional engagement initiatives such as society exchanges, leadership forums, roundtables and workshops, and evaluate participation and outcomes to strengthen future programming.
- Coordinate and help deliver regional priorities and special projects developed with society leaders and Relationship Managers.
- Manage recurring regional business processes, including governance documentation, reporting cycles and annual planning, tracking milestones, submissions and deadlines.
- Analyze society reports, surveys, engagement metrics and funding outcomes to identify trends, risks and opportunities, monitor delivery and follow-through, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Maintain and improve knowledge repositories, governance resources and best-practice libraries, and find ways to streamline operations through process redesign, automation and AI-enabled tools.
- Prepare regional reports, presentations and executive briefings, and support planning and delivery of Society Leadership Conferences and other regional events.
Your Experience: - 4–6 years' experience in association management, stakeholder engagement, membership organizations, nonprofit management, project coordination, financial services, relationship management or a comparable field.
- Experience organizing and coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives, programs or business processes.
- Experience analyzing data, preparing reports and turning information into actionable recommendations.
- Experience creating clear presentations, communications and executive-ready materials
- Strong organization, planning and execution skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, including confidence facilitating meetings with volunteer leaders and society representatives.
- Comfort working with data, reporting tools, CRM systems, AI-enabled tools and knowledge-management platforms.
- A collaborative, improvement-oriented mindset and a commitment to reliable execution and strong partner experiences.
- A bachelor's degree, and the CFA Institute Investment Foundations Certificate or willingness to complete it within an agreed period after joining.
- Experience with volunteer leaders, boards or member-led organizations, process improvement or knowledge management, and related professional development (e.g. association or project management) are a plus.
