Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and update the roll-forward schedule for the investment portfolio, ensuring accurate tracking and timely reporting of monthly results to the Controller.
  • Calculate and analyze realized and unrealized gains and losses on the investment portfolio on a quarterly basis. Record and process journal entries for investment transactions, including purchases, redemptions, and reclassifications.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of investment balances, ensuring alignment between financial records, investment statements, and general ledger accounts, including restricted cash and redemption receivable accounts.
  • Maintain and update investment-related documents and the investment manager's contact list.
  • Review and prepare investment related documents for annual audit and IRS Form 990 Prepare the GL entries for transactions related to investments and other bank transactions including interest income and bank fees.
  • Closely collaborate with the OCIO as the primary point of contact for performance reporting, investment tracking, cash flow management, and related activities. Support the implementation and integration of Fundriver for endowment and investment tracking.
  • Develop new processes related to endowment accounting and compliance.
  • Record journal entries for endowment-related transactions in Intacct and Fundriver.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of endowment balances to ensure accuracy between Fundriver and the general ledger.
  • Prepare and provide cash roll-forwards and projections to the CFOO on a quarterly basis for committee meetings.
  • Conduct monthly cash flow analysis to ensure proper liquidity management.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
  • Act as a liaison for the Partnership department, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting to donors.
  • Prepare and deliver donor-specific financial reports in alignment with donor agreements and requests.
  • Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual allocations of funds across the organizational budget in accordance with approved budgets and donor agreements.
  • Perform reallocation JEs in the system. Perform financial analysis related to restricted funding and initiatives based on budget owners' requests.
  • Assist in preparing budget vs. actual reports for restricted funds, ensuring accuracy and alignment with donor agreements and approved budgets.
  • Support financial variance analysis by identifying discrepancies between Intacct and Salesforce, as well as planned vs. actuals.
  • Work with the Director of FP&A and internal teams on planning and budgeting for restricted initiatives.
  • Utilize IBM Planning Analytics for financial reporting Serve as backup for revenue process and daily cash analysis.
  • Assist Controller, FP&A Director and CFOO with special projects as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in Financial and Investment Analysts, Senior Finance Analyst, Finance Business Partner, or related positions.

  • 2 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • 2 years of experience working in cross-functional or complex organizational structures and in partnering and providing operational support across departments.
  • 2 years of experience in resource allocation and related financial processes.
  • 2 years of experience preparing budget through actual reports using a bottom-up approach and consolidating departmental inputs include data modeling.
  • 1 year of experience in the implementation of planning and budgeting software, system integration, and finance module usage.
  • 2 years of experience in Excel skills, including data hygiene, performance tracking, reporting, and visualization.
  • 1 year of experience with Salesforce, Intacct, or similar CRM and financial reporting systems.


Salary and Benefits

Robin Hood offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range determined by years of experience, skills, and abilities. Each candidate's placement within the range will be based on these factors while ensuring alignment with our commitment to equitable internal pay practices, in accordance with the NYC Pay Transparency Law.

The salary range for this role is $88,000 - $97,000

Location

This position is based in New York City and follows a hybrid work environment. Employees are required to work on-site four (4) days per week until further notice.
