Location:

Security Clearance:

An Active DoD Secret or higher

Position Type:

Full-Time, Exempt

ASRC Federal Technology Solutions LLC is looking for a motivated Associate Low Code/No Code Developer with an active US Government Secret security clearance or higher to support their work with the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The developer will help design, build, and deploy secure low-code and no-code solutions using Microsoft Palantir Foundry/Army Vantage, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Working with guidance from senior team members, this person will translate documented requirements into maintainable applications and contribute across design, testing, deployment, and support.

Success means delivering reliable features in short iterations, responding to feedback, following platform standards, and maintaining clear technical and deployment documentation. A typical week includes contributing to requirements discussions, developing and testing solutions in Agile sprints, demonstrating features, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and assisting with releases. The developer identifies technical constraints, explains tradeoffs, collaborates with developers, system administrators, analysts, cybersecurity personnel, and government stakeholders, and elevates issues that require broader platform or organizational decisions. The developer does not own the requirements process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, development, testing, and deployment of Canvas and model-driven Power Apps that address documented mission and business requirements.
  • Build Power Automate workflows for approvals, notifications, data movement, and repeatable business processes, including appropriate exception handling and monitoring.
  • Develop Power BI data models, dashboards, and reports that present accurate information for operational and leadership decisions.
  • Translate requirements into technical designs, data structures, interfaces, security roles, integrations, and acceptance criteria with guidance from senior team members.
  • Participate in requirements sessions, contribute development estimates, identify constraints, and help evaluate practical alternatives when requested features are not feasible.
  • Use managed solutions, version control, and application lifecycle management practices to move changes between development, test, and production environments.
  • Apply governance, security, accessibility, performance, and maintainability standards throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot application and workflow issues, resolve routine defects, support UAT, and provide timely post-deployment support.
  • Maintain application architecture notes, configuration records, development documentation, release notes, and deployment guides so solutions can be supported by the broader team.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 1 year of application development experience, including hands-on work with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience developing Canvas or model-driven Power Apps and using Power Automate or Power BI.
  • Experience translating documented requirements into application features, workflows, dashboards, or reports.
  • Experience participating in application testing, deployment, or operational support.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher. Candidates without a minimum of a Secret clearance will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with any of the following is valued:
  • Palantir Foundry or Army Vantage, including ontology-backed applications, data workflows, operational dashboards, or platform integrations.
  • Dataverse data modeling, custom connectors, application programming interfaces (APIs), solution packaging, and Power Platform pipelines.
  • Power Platform delivery in a Department of Defense, Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud, or Government Community Cloud High environment.
  • Administration of the Microsoft Power Platform Premium tenant and its environments, including security, data loss prevention policies, capacity, connectors, gateways, and health monitoring.
  • Governance and approval of citizen-developed solutions through development, test, and production using application lifecycle management (ALM), release-readiness, and documentation standards.
  • Service as the Power Platform subject matter expert on Technical Review Boards (TRBs), reviewing architecture, security, integrations, data handling, performance, maintainability, and compliance.
  • Agile or DevSecOps delivery, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), automated testing, secure development, Section 508 accessibility, and DoD platform governance.

Clearance Level

A current DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required for this position.

Education Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field or 4 additional years of experience (for a total of 5 years) in lieu of the degree.

Required: CompTIA Security+; a computing environment certification appropriate to the assigned platform within 6 months of hire, such as Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900).

Preferred: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate (PL-200), or Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400).
