What you'll be doing...Contribute, Collaborate and Manage a team of Subject matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and maintain solutions for LTE & 5G mobile devices. (61%) Participate and contribute to the mobile industry standards such as GSMA, 3GPP or others. Manage, develop and actively run Verizon technical partnership program with Google/Android, KaiOS, ChromeOS, MSFT Windows & other embedded operating systems providers. (15%) Develop and maintain software platforms based on Android and Linux operating systems for Verizon branded devices. Create and customize open-source images for different hardware platforms. (5%) Utilize OS Project tools to build custom OS distributions for embedded systems. Write, debug, and optimize C code for system-level applications and drivers. (5%) Integrate and validate new features on development boards and EVKs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components. (5%) Perform thorough testing and validation of software to ensure high reliability and performance. (2%) Document software designs, implementation details, and usage instructions. (5%) Provide technical support and troubleshooting for platform-related issues. (2%)
What we're looking for...Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Systems Architects, Software Developer, Member Technical Staff Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 8 years involving the following:
- Developing Android and Linux OS;
- Java, Kotlin, C++, C, Python, JavaScript;
- Subject Matter Expert with Telecommunication and device;
- Device to Network connectivity SME;
- LTE / 5G networks;
- Cloud; and
- Performing Technical leadership & Strategy.
Hybrid role, ability to work from home. Requires U.S. travel (up to 25% annually)
RATE OF PAY: $196,342 - $242,000 per year

Where you'll be workingIn this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
