What is the opportunity?

The Associate Director, Senior Software Developer develops software applications and tools, troubleshooting and debugging programs, and contributing to the design and implementation of solutions, applying complete knowledge and skills to perform varied assignments of small size and scope. Completes software development tasks and projects with moderate complexity, demonstrating growing expertise and judgement to determine appropriate actions.

What will you do?

  • Develops and enhances software applications by creating and revising code, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions based on defined user requirements and technical specifications.
  • Collaborates with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure alignment with project objectives, and deliver optimal solutions while adhering to established procedures and standards.
  • Participates in testing and debugging processes, ensuring the accuracy and functionality of software programs, and providing support for production deployment.
  • Contributes to the planning and execution of project phases, offering recommendations on tools, processes, and methods to improve efficiency and meet operational goals.
  • Executes software development tasks requiring moderate to advanced expertise and judgement to drive outcomes.
  • Applies independent decisions, typically guided by previous experience and knowledge to manage some ambiguity and deliver measurable impact on productivity.
  • Generates ideas to enhance processes within own work area and resolves business, operational and technical software development related problems within scope of responsibility.
  • Fosters and strengthens relationships with key stakeholders, including team members, managers, and clients to achieve department or functional goals and drives innovation.


What do you need to succeed?
  • Experience with Python, Java, C#. Has worked with both relational and No-SQL databases. Has a solid grasp of REST, microservices and modern architecture design paradigms.
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, rapidly prototyping and making sounds engineering trade-offs
  • Has a good grasp of AI tools and their limitations. Comfortable applying AI to increase productivity and reduce the SDLC.
  • Has prior experience working at a financial institution from a engineering capacity. Preferably front office working with Sales/Trading in OTC Derivates

The Expected Salary Range For The Above Position Is $135,000 - $225,000 Depending On Factors Including But Not Limited To The Candidate's Experience, Skills, Registration Status; Market Conditions; And Business Needs. This Salary Range Does Not Include Other Elements Of Total Compensation, Including A Discretionary Bonus And Benefits Such As A 401(K) Program With Company-Matching Contributions; Health, Dental, Vision, Life And Disability Insurance; And Paid Time-Off Plan.
