About This Role:
As the Associate Director of Program Management within the Global Commercial and Medical (GCM) IT organization, you will lead intricate, cross-functional programs and oversee portfolio financials, including governance, annual budgeting, and month-end close. You will drive critical projects and product launches supporting our Patient Services Organization in RTP, NC, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal oversight. Your role is pivotal in collaborating with stakeholders to drive decisions and proactively manage and mitigate issues and risks, consolidate portfolio-level status reporting and track performance, ensuring the portfolio delivers high-quality outcomes. You will support the GCM Leadership Team with monthly portfolio reviews and manage ad hoc requests as needed. Reporting to the Director of Portfolio Management and Operations for Global Commercial and Medical IT, you will be a key player in driving the success and efficiency of our organizational projects.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead highly complex cross-functional projects and programs, including Patient Services initiatives, product launch programs and mergers & acquisitions.
  • Consolidate project and program-level status reporting into a comprehensive portfolio view.
  • Support month-end and portfolio reporting, focusing on financials and performance metrics.
  • Drive large programs to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, resources, and budgets.
  • Proactively manage key stakeholders, ensuring accountability and timely completion of deliverables.
  • Clearly communicate financial status, schedule, risks, and changes to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-team discussions for integrated project plans and communications.
  • Identify and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
  • Review financials for the GCM IT portfolio, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial calendars.
  • Identify efficiencies and areas of improvement for portfolio operations.

  • 5+ years of experience implementing complex, cross-functional projects within established software development life cycle methodologies.
  • Experience managing projects through waterfall, agile, or SAFe delivery methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
