Job Description

RBC Capital Markets LLC seeks an Associate Director, Lead Software Developer in Jersey City, NJ with expertise in Algo containers for Credit Bond markets and working closely with desk on Algo strategy integration with exposure to all Electronic checks and validations along with knowledge of various market data like Trace, CBBT, CP+, TRAX for Algo integrations. Integration expertise for various Credit Bond & CDX market eTrading client channels across TradeWeb, MarketAxess, BondPort, BondPoint, TMC for institutional and retail channels across US and Europe markets for single line RFQ, Algo trading, Aggressing or Portfolio trading from front to back including user interface integrations using FIX or other vendor API along with knowledge of various RFQ and Portfolio trading protocols.Understand detailed business requirements, propose and discuss technical software design for all assigned coding tasks. Code, perform development testing, build and release changes. Champion DevOps usage across all release artifacts. Interact effectively with the global development team (Lon, NY, Tor, India) including business analytics and quality assurance by reviewing proposed technical design and code changes to global team members. Interact with US and EUR Credit traders where appropriate and FICC IT Support in New York, Toronto & London in understanding requirements and issues. Provide timely turnaround on issues and queries by responding to users and support on application functionality related issues and inquiries. Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field plus 7 years of progressively responsible experience with hands-on coding with Server & UI frameworks (full stack) - Java 17 and above with proficiency in Java concurrency, virtual threads, JFR and GC Tuning, KDB, .Net, WPF, C#, HTML5, ReactJS, JavaScript, and hands-on coding in server-side Java, Messaging and Event processing across multiple streams. 5 years of experience in Algo and Bond eTrading Front office applications; coding with Solace, FIX protocols & ION API; coding with relational DB (SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle); and DevoOs tools (Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory).

The salary for this job is $189,592 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
