Full Job Description
The Associate Director, Field Medical Operations reports into the Director Business Operations, with a dotted line reporting relationship directly supporting the Senior Director, Neurology Field Medical - Alzheimer's Disease. The individual will also partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support overall Field Medical Effectiveness. The Associate Director, Field Medical Operations will utilize strategic, analytical, field medical insights, and operational expertise to power field medical effectiveness with CRM tools and reporting dashboards to support leadership strategic and tactical decision making. The Associate Director will execute area specific strategies and tactical plans that deliver on national strategic imperatives and ensure timely implementation of required operational processes. The Associate Director will lead and/or be part of training and analytical initiatives and projects that are aligned to corporate objectives. Responsibilities: • Lead efforts to strengthen and advance the Field Medical organization through process optimization, operational governance, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, compliance, and organizational alignment. • Manage Field Medical effectiveness audits, insights reviews, and recommendations for Field Medical Leadership. • Lead cross-functional workstreams supporting CRM, reporting/analytics, and operational enhancements. • Lead requirements gathering, define project scope, set strategic goals/objectives & develop project execution plans with clearly defined milestones/metrics. • Establish governance processes for Field Medical needs assessment, issue resolution, and system enhancement prioritization. • Partner with Medical, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Analytics, IT, and other stakeholders to advance initiatives. • Facilitate resolution of issues between departments and across functional lines, when needed. • Incorporate field medical insights and business needs into actionable tools, reporting capabilities, and operational improvements. • Support Medical training to develop communication and support plans that influence adoption of field medical tools and resources. • Proactively provide recommendations, and create solutions to support field medical reporting, field communications, field meetings, and overall effectiveness of the field Medical Science Liaisons (MSL) team. • Actively participate in weekly/monthly Field Medical Leadership calls to understand and address operational needs and provide thought partnership on key issues and topics. • Establish and maintain a work environment that supports learning, respect, open communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in related field with a minimum of 10+ years within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry (e.g., Field Medical, Field Sales, Field Management, Operations Support or Marketing) • OR a combination of equivalent education and experience. • Demonstrated experience in project management is preferred. • Experience in managing interactions with cross-functional teams, client groups and key stakeholders both internally and externally. • Practical experience of data and analytics, Excel and PowerPoint. • Proven performance in earlier role. • Preferred experience working with CRM platforms and business intelligence/reporting tools. (e.g., Veeva CRM Power BI and Tableau) Skills:Commercial Breadth, Communication & Cross-functional Influence, Critical Thinking & Business Agility, Data Analysis & Insights, Mentoring/ People Development, Project Management Eisai Salary Transparency Language: The annual base salary range for the Associate Director, Field Medical Operations is from :$173,700-$228,000 Under current guidelines, this position is eligible to participate in : Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan & Eisai Inc. Long Term Incentive Plan. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors including but not limited to experience level, education, knowledge, and skills.
