Job DescriptionThe impact you will have on this role:We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a proven track record designing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft Azure environments in large enterprise settings. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, deep technical expertise, and the ability to work both collaboratively and as a directly responsible individual (DRI). This role is responsible for architecting, migrating, developing, and implementing scalable, resilient cloud solutions across the Azure platform.
This is a highly technical, infrastructure-focused position accountable for multiple facets of cloud implementation and platform reliability.
Primary Responsibilities - Design, build, and administer enterprise Microsoft Azure cloud environments, including provisioning, configuration, monitoring, governance, and security
- Architect and implement highly available, resilient, multi-region Azure solutions aligned with best practices
- Migrate on-premises infrastructure services to modern, cloud-based Azure platforms
- Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and governance frameworks and drive continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible
- Build and deploy Azure resources using automation pipelines and CI/CD tooling
- Partner with technology risk, cyber security, and IT architecture stakeholders to implement DLP, security, identity and access controls across Azure environments.
- Support application teams in adopting, transforming, and modernizing workloads on Azure
- Ensure infrastructure meets DTCC required performance, availability, reliability, and capacity standards
- Collaborate with Cloud Networking Engineering to design and implement Azure networking solutions, not limited to hybrid connectivity, DNS, cloud transport, and cloud proxy/firewalls
- Secure, manage, and monitor Azure environments using Azure-native tools
- Administer VDI workloads hosted Windows in cloud environments
- Linux management is out of scope
- General windows management is out of scope, only the VDI workloads hosted is applicable.
- Utilize scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, and Azure CLI
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or equivalent platforms
- Use Git for source control and version management
Qualifications: - Minimum of 8 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success: - 5+ years of experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure cloud solutions
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Azure Storage, Azure App Services, Azure SQL/MySQL, Azure Automation, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery
- Experience implementing and operating monitoring and observability solutions using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Strong understanding of identity and access management, including Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID
- Proven experience designing resilient, fault-tolerant, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (including Terraform Cloud), Azure CLI, and automation pipelines
- Proficiency with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent) for deploying infrastructure and applications
- Experience using Git for source control and version management
- Working knowledge of Azure networking concepts, including hybrid connectivity and enterprise-grade network design
- Experience administering both Windows and Linux operating systems in cloud environments
- Proficiency with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, and Azure CLI
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as PowerShell DSC, Chef, or Puppet
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes supporting containerized workloads
- Familiarity with serverless computing models and associated cloud-native toolchains
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, governance frameworks, and policy-driven controls
- Experience supporting large, distributed, or mission-critical systems in enterprise environments
- Background in hybrid cloud architectures and complex enterprise integrations
- Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, or related credentials are strongly preferred
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently as a directly responsible individual (DRI) while collaborating effectively across teams
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
