Full Job Description
Description

The Sr IT Associate Director Web Capability Lead provides product ownership, platform direction, demand management, business consultancy, and information technology-related services for the web capability serving the IT Marketing and Sales team and its assigned business clients; may also lead and manage a small matrixed team of IT and platform professionals. Through ongoing engagement with brand teams, creative agencies, and IT delivery partners, the Sr IT AD Web Capability Lead identifies and analyzes business needs, influences and negotiates scope and priorities, and champions innovative process changes and technology-enabled solutions in support of pharmaceutical brand website delivery. The Sr IT AD Web Capability Lead leads and manages the web capability roadmap, including initiatives ranging from smaller C-level enhancements to larger, more complex B- and A-level platform investments. Roadmap and capability management, which is from concept through delivery, includes defining scope and deliverables that support business goals and strategies. The Sr IT AD Web Capability Lead is responsible for engaging clients in analyzing, prioritizing and governing demand for web platform services; accountable for all such services; and responsible for ensuring that capability investments realize their intended business benefits. Successful capability evolution is expected to contribute to the overall performance of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain and enhance strategic and sustainable relationships with brand teams, creative agencies, and IT delivery partners across the M&S IT organization, as well as with global platform and compliance stakeholders.

Lead the implementation and continuous evolution of AI/ML-driven capabilities within the web production channel, enabling automated website creation, pipeline automation and design-to-code workflows. Drive the adoption of intelligent site production solutions across the platform, ensuring scalability, compliance-by-design, and integration with existing CMS, design systems, and delivery pipelines.
Independently propose new and improved capabilities for the web platform, championing innovation where possible and ensuring that compliance is embedded in the platform itself - through templates, automated validation, and pre-approved components - rather than enforced through reactive review processes.

Perform a liaison function between the business and all providers of technical and creative services. In close partnership with all stakeholders, influence, match and independently prioritize complex demands on the web platform to maximize value to the business.
Based on a thorough understanding of all processes within the brand website domain, analyze, define and document the relationship of all systems and services that support this domain. Govern the web capability landscape and propose improvements to individual systems, services, or business processes.
Provide dedicated support to brand and launch teams as well as other key marketing workstreams by identifying critical areas for capability investment, performance measurement, and continuous optimization.
Direct the work of a cross-functional matrixed team of 4-9 platform engineers, delivery managers, and specialists, holding them accountable for outcomes without direct line management authority.
Knowledge of the legal and regulatory compliance environment impacting the pharma/bio industry, especially as it relates to medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review, promotional content approval, and content governance through PromoMats / Veeva Vault.
