The Impact You Will Have in This Role

The Technology Data Office (TDO) is responsible for improving the quality, consistency, and trustworthiness of technology data across DTCC through enterprise data governance and stewardship practices.

As an Associate within the Technology Data Office, you will support the execution of DTCC's Data Governance Policy, Standards, and Procedures across technology domains. Working closely with Data Stewards, Data Owners, project teams, and technology partners, you'll help drive data quality, governance adoption, and compliance with enterprise standards.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

Data Governance & Stewardship
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of data governance standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain governance documentation, job aids, and supporting materials.
  • Assist with metadata management activities, including data catalog and repository updates.
  • Partner with stakeholders to promote adherence to established governance standards.
  • Provide day-to-day support to teams requiring guidance on governance processes and requirements.

Data Quality & Reporting
  • Support the identification, documentation, tracking, and remediation of data quality issues and exceptions.
  • Assist with data quality monitoring and reporting activities.
  • Analyze data quality trends and help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and governance reporting.

Collaboration & Adoption
  • Partner with Data Stewards and business stakeholders to support governance initiatives.
  • Participate in governance working sessions, training activities, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Help drive awareness and adoption of Technology Data Office standards and practices.
  • Collaborate with project and delivery teams to ensure governance requirements are incorporated into solutions.

Risk & Delivery Support
  • Support risk and issue management activities related to data governance and data quality.
  • Assist with governance-related project deliverables and documentation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Escalate issues or risks when appropriate.

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in data governance, data quality, data stewardship, metadata management, or data management within an enterprise environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience supporting data governance and stewardship activities within a business or functional domain.

  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK concepts and data governance frameworks.
  • Exposure to data quality or observability tools such as Monte Carlo.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Experience working in financial services, regulated industries, or risk-sensitive environments.
  • CDMP certification or interest in pursuing data governance certifications.

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations.
