About the RoleThe Associate Manager, Customs & Trade Compliance supports customs and trade compliance activities across the Americas region. Working closely with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, logistics providers, suppliers, and government authorities, the role helps ensure compliance with customs regulations while supporting efficient cross-border operations.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day customs compliance support across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Latin America, helping to manage customs programmes, support operational activities, identify compliance risks, and provide technical guidance on customs-related matters.
Key Responsibilities- Support customs compliance activities across the Americas region.
- Review tariff classifications, customs valuations, country of origin determinations, and other customs-related data.
- Monitor import and export activities to identify potential compliance risks and support corrective actions where required.
- Support customs audits, post-entry reviews, disclosures, and regulatory inquiries.
- Maintain customs records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
- Provide customs compliance guidance to business stakeholders.
- Support internal stakeholders on customs and trade compliance matters, including tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin, Free Trade Agreements, including USMCA, and import and export controls
- Monitor regulatory developments and communicate relevant changes to the business.
- Support management of customs brokers and trade service providers across the region.
- Review customs filings, operational metrics and broker performance.
- Support compliance reviews of external service providers.
- Support maintenance of Dyson's C-TPAT certification program.
- Assist with security assessments, program reviews and validation activities.
- Participate in compliance monitoring and risk assessment activities.
- Support initiatives to improve customs processes, controls and systems.
- Assist with reporting, compliance metrics and regional projects.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of customs compliance programs and tools.
Skills & ExperienceEssential:
- Licenced Customs Broker (LCB).
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Customs Administration, Business, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in customs and international trade compliance.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import compliance requirements.
- Experience in tariff classification, customs valuation, country of origin and Free Trade Agreement analysis.
- Experience working with customs brokers and external service providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across multiple functions and regions.
Desirable:
- CCS, CES or similar trade compliance certification.
- Experience supporting customs compliance activities in Canada, Mexico and Latin America.
- Familiarity with export controls and sanctions requirements.
- Experience with SAP GTS, Descartes or similar trade compliance platforms.

Salary: $124,800-$156,000 annually + bonus opportunity#LI-ONSITE
