This Opportunity

WSP is seeking an Associate Consultant, Estimating, to join our Project Controls team in Boston.

Your Impact

Job Duties:
  • Provide assistance to the WSP Estimating Department as directed
  • Review and evaluate cost estimates
  • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects
  • Prepare estimates at detail level
  • Ensure timely completion of estimates
  • Understand scope of work to bid
  • Manage bid pricing from all vendors
  • Prepare cost analysis
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with vendors and subcontractors
  • Perform related tasks as directed.


Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree, from an accredited program, in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g. Civil Engineering), Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of full-time experience performing architectural, civil, structural, or utility elements for infrastructure / building construction projects
  • Demonstrated skill / expertise in development of Conceptual through Bid Document crew-based and/or unit price cost estimates
  • Strong knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff software and MS Office applications
  • Strong understanding of construction processes
  • Able to demonstrate progressively-increasing responsibility in estimating, working effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. This role is subject to a client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy. As such, employee may be subject to random drug/alcohol tests. A copy of the client mandated drug/alcohol testing policy will be provided during employee onboarding and is available upon applicant request.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge in use of HCSS HeavyBid, Sage Timberline, or other estimating application
  • Construction contractor estimating experience
  • MEP, data center, or power generation and transmission estimating experience

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $90,900-111,150

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
