First Orion is seeking a skilled Cloud & DevOps Engineer to own the reliability, scalability, and delivery infrastructure that gets code from developer machines to productionsafely, andkeeps it running there. You'llhave full decision authority over how infrastructure is provisioned, how services get to production, and what reliability looks like.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Infrastructure & Cloud  

• Provision and manage all AWS resources via Terraform (EKS, VPC, DynamoDB, SQS, Kinesis, S3, IAM, KMS, CloudFront)  

• EKS cluster lifecycle (upgrades, node management, Karpenter tuning)  

• Networking: VPCs, subnets, transit gateway routes, security groups, VPC endpoints  

• Kubernetes & GitOps   

• Helm chart authoring and maintenance  

• ArgoCD application definitions and sync policies  

• Horizontal Pod Autoscaling, ingress controllers (Traefik), TLS (cert-manager), DNS (externaldns)  

• CI/CD & Delivery  

• Bitbucket Pipelines structure, step definitions, deployment gates  

• Deployment automation scripts and OIDC-based pipeline authentication to AWS 

• Dockerfile optimization (multi-stage builds, layer caching, base image selection) 

• Observability  

• OpenTelemetry collector deployment and New Relic integration  

• Define instrumentation standards for developers  

• Own dashboards, build, maintain, and iterate on what's monitored  

• Security & Reliability  

• Capacity planning, multi-region architecture, failover strategy, and disaster recovery

What you’ll need: 

• Strong Terraform and AWS experience (EKS, IAM, networking, data stores)  

• Kubernetes expertise (Helm, autoscaling, ingress, secrets management)  

• CI/CD pipeline design and automation  

• Observability stack experience (OpenTelemetry, New Relic or similar)  

• Container optimization and security best practices  

• Collaborative mindset, you’ll work closely with developers to set and enforce platform standards
