Associate Attorney - Immigration
Responsibilities
Depending on experience, the associate attorney will handle matters involving:
• EOIR removal defense
• Master Calendar Hearings
• Bond Hearings
• Individual/Merits Hearings
• Asylum and other humanitarian relief
• Motions to reopen and reconsider
• Immigration appeals and legal briefs
• Family-based immigration
• Adjustment of status
• Consular processing
• Waivers
• VAWA and U Visa matters
• Naturalization
• Responses to Requests for Evidence and Notices of Intent to Deny
• Client consultations and case evaluations
• Preparation of clients and witnesses for hearings and interviews
• Legal research and development of case strategy
Qualifications
We are looking for an attorney who is intelligent, motivated, organized, and comfortable assuming responsibility.
Candidates must have:
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple matters
• Professionalism and good judgment
• Genuine interest in immigration law and client advocacy
• Prior immigration experience is strongly preferred.
