Java and Spring Boot stack. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end development lifecycle, using your expertise in
RESTful APIs and
relational databases to design robust systems, while applying
test-driven development and
Generative AI tools to ensure high-quality, maintainable code.
Role & Responsibilities:- Determine, order, and execute key engineering deliverables across the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with business stakeholders to refine and iterate on functional requirements.
- Architect and build robust applications by delivering high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Drive operational efficiency through targeted automation and custom scripting tools.
- Perform deep-system analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Execute comprehensive validation and verification efforts utilizing test-driven development methodologies.
- Engage in peer code reviews to ensure quality, maintain standards, and share knowledge.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to continuously enhance solution performance.
- Keep application stacks upgraded with modern industry technologies and frameworks.
- Ensure high-severity security vulnerabilities are remediated in a prompt and decisive manner.
- Provide on-call coverage, production incident response, and root-cause resolution for critical platform services.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:- At least 7 years of hands-on experience crafting performant, high-quality code in Java.
- Proven expertise leveraging the Spring Boot framework.
- Deep understanding of relational database management systems, such as PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong background in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Solid grasp of modern authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth2, SSO, and SMART-on-FHIR.
- End-to-end ownership of live environments, encompassing telemetry, diagnostics, and root-cause resolution.
- Strong passion for test-driven development along with practical implementation proficiency.
- High proficiency with Git version control systems.
- Practical experience utilizing system telemetry and performance observation platforms like Grafana.
- Familiarity with automated test automation suites such as Selenium.
- Experience leveraging AI-augmented development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to drive the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design through implementation, testing, documentation, debugging, and incident response.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities, analytical thinking, and personal initiative.

- Practical background implementing configuration management via Ansible.
- Proficiency constructing CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Deep understanding of Linux operating systems and IP networking fundamentals.
- Solid familiarity leveraging major hyperscaler ecosystems, including AWS and Azure.
- Strong grasp of identity architectures including SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
- Demonstrated history developing and maintaining cloud-native SaaS offerings.
- Architectural proficiency designing scalable Service-Oriented Architectures.
- Practical scripting capabilities utilizing Python, Bash, or Groovy.
- Prior experience delivering on-call operational support across mission-critical platform deployments.
