This Opportunity

WSP is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Project Controls / Scheduling to join our Project Controls group in New York, NY. This position will be reporting to the MTA office along the A Line or the 2 Broadway MTA office location.

Your Impact

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for schedule management to support client programs or projects including design and construction projects.
  • Responsible for developing, updating and analyzing detailed execution schedules for multiple projects being executed simultaneously.
  • Develop baseline schedule and/or produce summary and detailed review of baseline durations, logic, resources, costs, cost curves, resource histograms.
  • Identify and analyze schedule critical path/near critical path activities for reasonableness, relevance, and accuracy.
  • Review periodic CPM schedule updates, provide Primavera schedule comparison reports and detailed reviews.
  • Perform earned value analysis and produce EVM reports.
  • Schedule Change Management and detail review and analysis of change orders.
  • Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays.
  • Provide recommendations for schedule recovery, conduct recovery schedule reviews, and perform what-if scenario analysis.
  • Assess and provide recommendations to resolve schedule, scope changes or delays to the Project Manager, Project Team, and/or Executive Management.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Prior experience on transit & rail projects involving track work, tunnel lighting, and communications-based train control (CBTC) systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and managing complex project Schedules.
  • Experienced with critical path method analysis/technique using Primavera P6.
  • Change Order and Time Impact Analysis experience.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working within large and challenging Client Programs with one or more project teams.
  • Effective reporting and communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing project reports and documentation.
  • Construction experience is preferred
  • Team player and Strong communication skills

Compensation:

Expected Salary: $174,400-213,200

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
