Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 per year + Bonus Eligibility

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our team in Lloydminster. This is an exciting opportunity for a service professional who is passionate about customer service, operational excellence, and developing their leadership career within the heavy-duty truck industry.

Position Summary

The Assistant Service Manager plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Service Department. Working closely with the Service Manager, technicians, service advisors, and customers, this position helps ensure efficient workflow, quality repairs, and an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the service department, including scheduling, dispatching, and workflow coordination.
  • Support service advisors and technicians with work order management, parts sourcing, and repair timelines.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding repair status updates, estimates, and service concerns.
  • Monitor technician productivity and help ensure repair quality meets both company and OEM standards.
  • Assist with warranty administration, documentation, and communication with manufacturers.
  • Support the onboarding, coaching, and development of service department employees.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient shop environment.
  • Provide leadership coverage and operational support during the Service Manager's absence.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a service-related role such as Service Advisor, Service Coordinator, Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, or similar position within the heavy-duty truck, transportation, equipment, or automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of truck and equipment repair processes, service operations, and industry terminology.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Class 3 or Class 1 driver's license is considered an asset.
