The Women’s and Gender Studies Department in the Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts at Loyola Marymount University seeks a scholar with a background in social science research and expertise in one or more of the following fields: Black feminism, decolonial or postcolonial studies, environmental justice/queer ecology, or militarism. Successful candidates will embrace the department’s mission of fostering a vigorous intellectual environment through a feminist and queer interdisciplinary lens where students can develop their analytical thinking skills and conceptual tools for social change. Successful candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to working with diverse student and community populations. We welcome applicants whose work speaks to issues of social justice as well as to antiracist and inclusive pedagogies.
