Overview:The Assistant Leasing Manager position is responsible for supporting the Leasing Manager in administrative tasks related to revenue management and administrative oversite for the existing rental portfolio. The ideal candidate will have prior luxury rental experience, a strong understanding of the NYC rental market and knowledge of current rent stabilization laws. In addition to the Assistant Manager responsibilities, this position will also be responsible for leasing apartments.
Responsibilities:- Assisting the Leasing Manager with the following:
- Promotion of a 1st class operation demonstrated through integrity, courtesy and professionalism
- Meticulous organizational skills as it pertains to leasing files and paperwork
- Collaboration with Marketing and Analyst teams to optimize revenue and occupancy
- Auditing and monitoring of leasing information to maintain data integrity
- Maintain and establish best practices and departmental standard operating procedures
- Daily communication with service team to ensure renter expectations and experiences are aligned
- Reporting-market comps & research, closing ratios, occupancy, etc.
- Managing pricing and expiration schedule to optimize revenue
- Engage broker community and manage ILS sites for accuracy in listings
- Maintain renewal workflows and oversee processing throughout the full lifecycle of each renewal.
- Provide coaching and support to team members on effective communication, conflict resolution, and customer engagement best practices.
- Ensure timely documentation and follow-up on escalated matters to maintain accountability and transparency.
- Promote team engagement by fostering open communication, recognizing contributions, and maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment
Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 5+ years' experience in a leasing related capacity
- Salesperson License Required
- Comparable urban market experience in or similar to New York City
- Excellent communication skills both written and orally
- Dynamic leader and motivator through creative methods
- Ability to work a forty (40) hour schedule, which may include weekends
- Revenue Management Software Experience Preferred
- Working knowledge of Rent Stabilization Code, Housing Maintenance Code, DHCR and HPD requirements and Fair Housing Laws
Salary range:$85,000 - $100,000 (this position is eligible for commission and discretionary annual bonus)
