Essential Functions:

This position is responsible for:

  • Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize resources and sustain improvement opportunities.

You will Learn to:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve objectives for the Division.
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial approach toward strategic growth.
  • Foster a collaborative partnership with all departments including, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, Plant Operations, Human Resources, Transportation, QA, all Branch locations and the SES Leadership Team.
  • Responsible for developing a team of highly productive and engaged team members in a manner to provide development and succession planning.
  • In collaboration with marketing team and GM, overseeing advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  • In collaboration, develops and recommends product assortment, positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Actively involved in the 3-to-5-year vision of capital projects as well as monitoring and managing the execution of capital projects to be on budget and completed on time.
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Monitors competitor products and sales activities.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product and organization.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting General Sales Manager with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Promotes and maintains company teamwork in all areas. Assists others and performs other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary. Helps promote the positive image of the company in the trade.
  • Adheres to all applicable Federal, State, County and local regulations regarding the sale and merchandising of milk and dairy products.
  • Participate and present Town Hall discussions as to the state of the Producers Dairy Foods business.
  • Coach and mentor a diverse Team treating them the way you want to be treated.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Sales or related field. Commensurate training and experience may satisfy this requirement or 7+ years in a progressive leadership role within the industry.
  • Must have proven track record of strategic level creativity and problem solving, including high-level analytical skills to drive data driven decisions.
  • Strong critical thinker who encourages and develops the same skills in direct reports.

Position Requirements:
To be a successful Assistant General Manager, they will need:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflow optimization, and production planning.
  • Proficient with manufacturing software.
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting knowledge of production machinery.


Leadership & Management Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams.
  • Strong conflict resolution, coaching, and performance management abilities.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to resolve production or quality issues.

Salary: $200,000-$215,000
