Job Description:

Position Overview: The Assistant General Manager of the Hotel Restaurant will play a pivotal role in assisting the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, financial management, guest satisfaction, and strategic planning. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Assist the General Manager in recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant staff, ensuring they embody the hotel’s commitment to excellence in service.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and personal growth among the restaurant team.
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to support the development of staff members and ensure high standards of service are maintained.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement standard operating procedures for restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, reservation management, and service standards.
    • Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency in service delivery, making adjustments as needed to address any issues or challenges.
    • Oversee inventory management, ordering, and stock control to ensure adequate supply levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
  • Guest Experience and Satisfaction:
    • Work closely with the General Manager to ensure the restaurant delivers exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.
    • Interact with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and build relationships, fostering a culture of hospitality and guest-centric service.
    • Implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience, including personalized service, special events, and menu enhancements.
  • Financial Management:
    • Assist in developing and managing the restaurant budget, monitoring revenue and expenses to ensure profitability and financial targets are met.
    • Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost savings, and operational efficiency.
    • Implement pricing strategies, promotions, and upselling techniques to maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining value for guests.
  • Strategic Planning and Development:
    • Collaborate with the General Manager and executive team to develop and execute strategic plans for the restaurant, aligning with the hotel's overall goals and objectives.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Participate in meetings, presentations, and initiatives to promote the hotel restaurant and enhance its reputation as a premier dining destination.
    • Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll for all staff members
  • Coordinate staff scheduling efficiently
  • Spearhead training and development initiatives for new hires and ongoing education for current staff members
  • Monitor and analyze guest sentiment scores for continuous improvement.

Salary range: $88,000.00 - $92,000.00
