Full Job Description
As a member of the Money Commercial Legal team, you will be responsible for partnering with multiple innovative product teams to ensure our lending and credit card products are structured to meet our customers' needs and achieve our strategy, while complying with applicable laws and regulations. You will provide advice and guidance to our product and cross-functional teams on a wide variety of legal and regulatory matters related to the development, launch and expansion of Intuit's lending and credit card products. You will also negotiate and draft agreements with our key partners.

This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in Mountain View, CA. We prioritize being together to promote connection and belonging, creativity and innovation, as well as speed, agility, and productivity to accelerate getting work done.

Responsibilities
  • As a core legal partner to Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group, you will advise on end-to-end product launch and lifecycle management for lending and credit card products, including business strategy, ideation, content design, user flows, engineering, go to market, marketing lending agreements and terms of service, compliance, and operations.
  • You'll provide timely, business-focused advice and counseling in support of our lending and credit card strategy and in a variety of cutting edge matters, including advising on federal and state laws governing lending programs, data privacy & protection, risk, marketing, and bank partnerships.
  • You'll also manage relationships with external legal counsel, as needed.


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of combined relevant experience in law firms, governmental agencies, or in-house legal departments.
  • Background in launching products and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the financial services, banking or fintech space.
  • Experience advising on the full lifecycle of lending products and lending programs, including knowledge of laws applicable to such products (e.g., UDAP, FCRA, ECOA, TILA/Regulation Z, CARD Act, etc.); bank partnerships; and servicing & collections.
  • Ability to draft and negotiate complex bank and other third party partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders with minimal supervision, including working closely with the business and other support teams (finance/accounting, capital markets, credit & risk, marketing, servicing & collections) to implement compliant business strategy.
  • Comfortable and adept at balancing risk and opportunity, and thinking creatively to enable the business to make smart decisions.
  • Exceptional verbal/written/presentation skills in order to communicate legal requirements and strategy to a broad variety of stakeholders
  • Must have a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school or meet the requirements for legal education in a foreign country and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.

The expected base pay range for this position is:
