The opportunity

As an Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in Canada's EY wavespace and CX team, working with some of our most forward-thinking clients as they navigate complex business challenges and opportunities. You will work at the forefront of their transformation and AI agendas, helping to shape priorities and influence strategic direction.

Leveraging EY's design thinking-based wavespace methodology, you will design and facilitate collaborative client sessions that foster alignment, generate innovative ideas, and enable informed strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in high-impact client projects and initiatives, bringing together diverse stakeholders to co-create solutions, shape innovation and transformation agendas, and deliver meaningful, actionable outcomes.

In addition, as part of our overarching CX strategy that includes a client listening program, you will have the opportunity to engage directly with senior executives, transforming their feedback into actionable insights that strengthen relationships and drive continuous improvement across client experiences.

Your key responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end EY wavespace experiences, including:
    • Driving discovery phases to ensure an in depth understanding of clients' current situation and future vision through interviews and/or review of strategic plans
    • Designing, preparing and executing immersive innovation sessions where you will:
      • Partner with clients to co-design the approach for the session
      • Identify and bring forward internal and/or external thought leaders, case studies and examples to inspire new perspectives
      • Synthesize and bring forward relevant insights from client discovery phase
      • Facilitate design-thinking based ideation and prioritization sessions to draw out innovative, value-generating opportunities
      • Build alignment across stakeholders to develop clear, actionable strategic roadmaps and plans
      • Leverage your creative ingenuity and our digital collaboration technologies to create exceptional and unique immersive experiences with our clients
    • Collaborating with EY account teams to debrief insights from EY wavespace engagements and client experience activities, helping to identify opportunities for continued value creation
  • Support and advance our client experience approach, including:
    • Meeting with clients from across industries to capture and synthesize their feedback on their experiences with EY
    • Assist in transforming perspectives into actionable insights and recommendations that strengthen relationships, enhance future engagements, and support opportunity development

To qualify for the role, you should have:
  • 5-7 years of management consulting or equivalent business transformation or corporate strategy experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Expertise in design thinking tools and methods
  • This role involves interaction with clients operating nationally and globally where fluency in French and English is required. Bilingualism in both French and English is therefore a requirement of this role


Ideally, you'll also have
  • Interest and comfort in leveraging AI tools to support ideation, research and session delivery
  • MBA or equivalent Master's degree
