Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Controller, KSE Finance

Department: Accounting

Business Unit: KSE

Location: Denver, CO

Reports To: SVP, Finance

Employment Type: Full Time - Salaried- Exempt

Supervisor Position: Yes

Posting End Date: Open until filled

Examples of work performed:
  • Manage the day-to-day accounting activities for all assigned entities, including the closing of the Company's books each month and developing the company's financial reporting and accounting policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Review account reconciliations and research reconciling items timely.
  • Assist with annual budget process and periodic reforecasting, including coordination with department heads, senior management and related entities.
  • Manage all league reporting and communication
  • Coordinate and assist with team's annual audits.
  • Effectively communicate findings and corrective actions with staff and management.
  • Assist with annual tax data gathering for outside tax preparers
  • Coordinate with Shared Services team members to ensure accurate financial information and processes.
  • Supervise, train and develop staff.
  • Additional ad hoc projects, as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum
    • 4-8+ years' experience in corporate accounting with 3+ years managing direct reports.
  • Preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA, working towards CPA certification and/or MBA preferred.

Compensation
  • Base Salary Range $115,000 - $140,000 per annum
