  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by staff.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and oversee SOX and ICAP testing.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments and accounting teams.
  • Support Company Direct Operations with ad hoc analysis and special projects.

Division Information

PACCAR Leasing (PLC)
PacLease provides customers with value-added transportation services and premium-quality Kenworth, and Peterbilt vehicles. It is one of the fastest growing and most innovative global leasing networks in the industry.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the Company Direct Accounting and U.S. and Canada General Accounting group; including general ledger transactions, account reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis, forecasting, accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Manage the accounting functions in accordance with Corporate policies and procedures.
  • Manage staff of 8 employees (1 Accounting Manager, 3 staff accountants, 3 AP specialists and 1 AR specialist) including hiring, training, goal setting and performance appraisals.
  • Coordinate quarterly reporting to Corporate Accounting and external auditors to support SEC filings and other information requests.
  • Prepare monthly Company Direct P&L forecasts with Company Direct General Managers and the Director of Company Direct Operations.
  • Perform monthly reviews of journal entries, account reconciliations, tax schedules and filings, and other reporting requirements prepared by staff.
  • Ensure there are strong internal controls throughout the organization to foster an efficient operation and accurate financial reporting. Responsible for ensuring the timely completion and review of SOX and ICAP testing.
  • Support, maintain, and assume the lead role in an ongoing process improvement environment to identify and implement efficiencies, enhancements, and improvements.
  • Establish and maintain effective communications with Company Direct and PLC operations, Corporate and PFC Treasury, PACCAR Tax Department and other accounting staff/teams.
  • Support Company Direct Operations with information needs, ad hoc analysis, and research as needed.
  • Actively participate in special projects utilizing systems, accounting, tax and analytical skills to make improvement recommendations. Provide management decision-making and research support.

Additional Job Information

We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for Assistant Controller - Company Direct is $114,500 - $179,100 annually. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
