Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly job schedule/WIP report
  • Conduct monthly job cost/general ledger adjustments and reconciliations
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Oversee expense management, ensuring timely submissions and approvals of credit card charges
  • Facilitate subcontractor payment processes and ensure timely payment
  • Assist other accounting staff and operations personnel as needed
  • Identify and implement process improvements with the accounting team
  • Participate in annual audit activities

Position Description

We are seeking a tenacious, analytical, and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver with excellent critical-thinking, organizational, and communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This individual brings a strong work ethic, takes initiative, and contributes positivity, precision, and consistent effort to every task.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Preparing monthly job schedule/WIP report
  • Monthly job cost/general ledger adjustments and reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Expense management oversight - ensuring credit card charges are submitted/approved/coded appropriately and timely
  • Assist with subcontractor payment process, ensuring required paperwork is received and payment is made timely
  • Assist other accounting staff members and operations personnel as needed
  • Identify process improvements and efficiency enhancements, and work with the accounting team to implement solutions
  • Participate in annual audit activities
