Role Description:The Assistant Controller will assist in managing the monthly financial reporting process, including financial statement preparation, budgeting and forecasting. This position is also responsible for adhering to accounting and control processes following general accounting principles, theories and concepts and Company policies and procedures to meet corporate objectives, including SOX compliance. This position is very hands-on, requiring a high degree of engagement and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct month-end close processes
- Prepare and review month-end reconciliations.
- Prepare and review month-end journal entries
- Assume back up responsibility for Financial Controller.
- Support forecasting and budgeting - balance sheet and non-direct costs.
- Prepare tax supporting schedules as needed for annual tax filling/quarterly tax provision estimates
- Establishes and monitors the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
- Preparing supporting schedules for the year end audit.
- Preparation of SOX required supporting documentation
- Sarbanes-Oxley control execution responsibilities, as assigned
Requirements:- 10 or more years experience in financial accounting and reporting
- Strong application background (MS Office, ERP system experience (eg. SAP, HFM)
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and partner closely with plant and commercial teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required. MBA, CPA or CMA preferred
The anticipated base annual salary range for this role is between
$124,200.00 and $186,400.00 per year. This role is bonus eligible. The bonus incentive program is based on the company meeting or exceeding certain targets. Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate and is only applicable for roles that are based out of Illinois. The final salary will be determined after considering relevant factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, experience, and work location, where appropriate.
