Scope of JobAs the Asset Operations and Maintenance Analyst, you will be a key member of the Asset Optimization and Customer Success team, responsible for coordinating the scheduling and dispatch of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) providers while analyzing maintenance, operational, and asset-performance data for PowerFlex's behind-the-meter solar and battery energy storage projects.
This role will manage and track maintenance work from initiation through closeout, maintain accurate service and asset records, support subcontractor and warranty administration, and develop reporting on maintenance activity, asset performance, equipment failures, service costs, and provider performance. The Analyst will use these insights to identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve system availability, reliability, maintenance planning, and long-term asset value.
This position works cross-functionally with software, business development, engineering, execution, finance, customers, and O&M service providers.

LocationThis role would be required to be a hybrid role out of our NYC office.
Responsibilities40% - Resource Deployment, Scheduling, Dispatch
- Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, site hosts, and internal stakeholders to schedule preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment replacements.
- Use the CMMS or maintenance-management system to create, assign, track, and close work orders.
- Maintain short- and long-term maintenance schedules and ensure planned activities are completed, documented, and closed out on time.
- Confirm that subcontractors have the appropriate scope of work, site access information, safety requirements, materials, and tools before work begins.
- Communicate scheduling details, O&M updates, and post-visit summaries to site hosts, offtakers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Support daily monitoring of solar and battery storage installations and coordinate follow-up service activity when performance issues or maintenance needs are identified.
20% - Asset Performance, Maintenance, and Reliability Analysis
- Determine pricing for O&M services based on subcontractor quotes and internal pricing mechanisms
- Analyze maintenance work orders, service records, inspection findings, monitoring data, and equipment history to identify recurring issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate equipment failure rates, repeat service events, downtime, repair costs, maintenance frequency, and completion trends across solar and battery energy storage assets.
- Develop and maintain reporting on key operational and maintenance metrics, including preventive-maintenance completion, corrective-maintenance volume, work-order backlog, repeat failures, service costs, and response times.
- Identify recurring equipment, workmanship, or operational issues, support root-cause analysis, and escalate findings to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
- Assist with forecasting maintenance needs, anticipated equipment replacements, recurring service requirements, and related costs.
20% - Contract Management & Invoicing
- Support execution and management of service provider agreements and subcontractor agreements
- Ensure all contractual obligations are met by PowerFlex and its subcontractors.
- Review, track, and process subcontractor invoices, verifying alignment with approved scopes of work and contract terms prior to approval.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, costs, and compliance with service-level expectations.
10% - Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
- Identify and drive initiatives to improve, standardize, and automate O&M scheduling, dispatch, record keeping, and reporting processes.
- Support the implementation of new tools, workflows, and systems that enhance operational visibility and efficiency across the O&M function.
5% - Warranty Administration
- Administer and manage workmanship warranty claims in accordance with contract obligations.
- Maintain complete records of all warranty claims, including correspondence, claim forms, status updates, and resolution outcomes.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors to facilitate timely and effective warranty claim resolution.
5% - Other Duties
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
QualificationsEducation/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations, energy, construction management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 2-4+ years of experience in operations analysis, O&M coordination, maintenance coordination, asset management, field-service operations, renewable energy, facilities management, or a related role.
- Experience in the renewable energy, construction, or facilities management industry preferred.
- Experience reviewing contracts, processing invoices, or administering warranty claims preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance/work-order processes preferred.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret maintenance, performance, cost, and service-provider data.
- Ability to identify operational trends, recurring failures, and service gaps and communicate actionable findings.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, reporting, and data visualization.
- Experience using CMMS, work-order management, asset-management, reporting, or operational-data systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple work orders, schedules, subcontractors, deadlines, and records simultaneously.
CompensationThe pay range for this position is $90,360 - $110,440 annually. This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off. The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable). PowerFlex's compensation packages carefully consider a candidate's qualifications, experiences, and education in relation to the position.
Physical RequirementsRemaining in a seated position. Long hours on the computer keyboard. Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 25 pounds regularly/occasionally.
Working Conditions 80% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 20% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors' and/or internal customers' sites in addition to attending various conferences and meetings.
