Job Description

As an Agency Asset Management Credit Risk Associate in Loan Servicing and Asset Management, you support the management and servicing of investor-owned multifamily loans by combining portfolio oversight, borrower support, process execution, and compliance activities. You help us identify emerging risks, apply sound judgment, and deliver a high-quality client experience while meeting loan document and servicing requirements. You may grow into a client-facing portfolio role or build deep expertise in core servicing processes, depending on business needs and development opportunities.

Job responsibilities
  • Support an assigned portfolio of multifamily loans and serve as a primary or secondary point of contact for borrowers and property management teams
  • Respond to borrower inquiries and servicing requests while delivering a high-quality client experience
  • Monitor loan performance and identify emerging risks through borrower communications, property performance, and servicing activity review
  • Execute core servicing processes such as reserve requests, repair disbursements, collateral loss requests, inspections, onboarding, portal registration, and interest rate cap administration
  • Perform financial analysis using operating statements, rent rolls, and borrower financial submissions
  • Review inspections and condition reports to identify collateral risks and required corrective actions
  • Track and follow up on delinquencies, covenant breaches, insurance deficiencies, and servicing exceptions
  • Support post-closing transactions such as assumptions and borrower consent requests
  • Assist with maturity management, borrower outreach, refinance readiness assessments, and maturity risk identification
  • Monitor process performance to help ensure work is completed accurately and on time
  • Collaborate across teams to strengthen client service and support shared outcomes


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in multifamily asset management, loan servicing, credit risk, finance, or commercial real estate
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy
  • Familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Multifamily Servicing Guides and related systems and workflows
  • Ability to build relationships and deliver a best-in-class borrower experience
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of multiple formulas and macros


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily servicing requirements and reporting
  • Understanding of forward commitments and bond credit-enhanced mortgages
  • Familiarity with low-income housing tax credits
  • Familiarity with mortgage-backed securities and tax-exempt bond structures
  • Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency
