Reporting to the Manager, Asset Management & Volumetric Accounting, the Asset Management Analyst will support the safe, reliable, and commercially efficient performance of South Bow’s pipeline and terminal assets.
In this role, you will help turn operational, commercial, financial, and technical information into clear analysis, practical recommendations, and actionable plans that support quality decision-making.
You will work closely with teams across Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Regulatory, Scheduling, Volumetric Accounting, and Business Development to support workplan prioritization, performance management, and opportunity evaluation.

What you’ll doAnalyze asset performance, throughput, operating costs, forecasts, system constraints, and commercial obligations to identify risks, trade-offs, and opportunities.
Support annual and monthly workplan governance, including project prioritization, budget alignment, management of change, and assessment of impacts to tolls, costs, customer commitments, and asset performance.
Prepare clear analysis, dashboards, briefing materials, and recommendations to support leadership decisions on asset investments, optimization initiatives, and operational trade-offs.
Partner with cross-functional teams to connect technical, financial, commercial, regulatory, and operational perspectives into integrated plans and recommendations.
Support the evaluation and progression of commercial and operational opportunities that improve asset utilization, reduce costs, manage risk, or enhance customer value.
Track performance indicators, scorecards, action items, risks, and financial outcomes to support performance management and continuous improvement.
Contribute to process development, documentation, and governance improvements that strengthen South Bow’s Asset Management and Integrated Planning capability
Coordinate information and analysis to support customer, joint venture, regulatory, and internal stakeholder requests in a timely, accurate, and aligned manner.
Post-secondary degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business, Asset Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline
Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in asset management, commercial operations, finance, engineering, project controls, business planning, energy infrastructure, or a related analytical role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret operational, commercial, financial, and technical information and convert it into clear insights and recommendations.
Advanced Excel skills and demonstrated comfort working with data, models, dashboards, forecasts, and performance reporting tools.
Ability to collaborate across functions, build alignment, and manage competing priorities in a dynamic business environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise materials for technical, commercial, and leadership audiences.
Experience in crude oil pipelines, terminals, midstream energy, commercial operations, scheduling, volumetric accounting, project economics, operations planning, or asset management.
Understanding of pipeline or terminal commercial constructs, including transportation service agreements, tolls, tariffs, shipper commitments, capacity, nominations, scheduling, or customer balances.
Experience supporting budget development, forecasting, work prioritization, management of change, project evaluation, or performance management processes.
Ability to connect detailed analysis to broader business objectives, including safety, reliability, cost efficiency, customer service, risk management, and long-term asset value.
Experience working with data analytics, dashboards, Power BI, and reporting tools.
Curiosity, initiative, and sound judgment, with a willingness to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and improve how work gets done.
