The Assessment and Accountability Manager plays a key role in supporting state and federal programs that support North Dakota accountability measures, such as the Choice Ready program, and the Student Engagement Survey. Additionally, this position will support the ND A+ assessment system, support low-performing schools, and manage state and/or federal initiatives to support assessment and accountability generally. This position requires strong leadership, analytical, and program management skills. The ideal candidate will excel in program oversight, data analysis, and cross-agency collaboration.
What You'll DoPrimary Responsibilities/Program Portfolios may include the following:- Serve as a point of contact for districts, NDDPI staff, and external partners seeking technical assistance related to assessment operations, ND A+ data, student files, and system functionality.
- Coordinate with the state assessment vendor to support system development, troubleshoot issues, manage project timelines, and ensure successful implementation of the ND A+ assessment system in support of the project team.
- Assist with score interpretation, reporting, and dissemination of data to schools, districts, special education units and other stakeholders.
- Implement, monitor, and provide technical assis
- Prepare and deliver research summaries, legislative data requests, presentations, and webinars related to assessment and accountability initiatives.
- Lead the development and execution of Choice Ready strategies while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program impact.
- Develop guidance materials, deliver technical assistance, and provide training for school district leaders and stakeholders around the Student Engagement Survey. Provide support and technical assistance for the application, award, data collection, and monitoring processes for identified schools in need of improvement
- Serve as professional development and technical assistance lead for assigned Special Education portfolios, such as State Performance Plan/Annual Performance Report, Significant Disproportionality, and/or Programmatic Monitoring.
To be considered you must have:Master's degree in a field related to the position and three years of professional-level work experience, which must have included work experience in an education setting and relating to one (or more) of the above program portfolios.

Bachelor's degree in a field related to the position and five years of professional-level work experience, which must have included work experience in an education setting and relating to one (or more) of the above program portfolios.
Preferred Qualifications:- Knowledge and experience administering and supporting assessments, preferably at the district/state level.
- Knowledge and experience working with state and federal programs, specifically those dealing with education initiatives.
- Knowledge of school improvement strategies and experience working with at-risk student populations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners, including school administrators, educators, and other agency/state officials.
Compensation & LocationHiring Range: $80,000-$90,000/annually plus full state benefit package
Location: Onsite at the State Capitol in Bismarck, ND
