Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Director of Business Development, Assembly Division, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape innovative automation solutions for some of North America's most recognizable manufacturers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative assembly process concepts, layouts, and cycle time analyses.
  • Utilize Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to create tooling concepts and manufacturing layouts.
  • Lead development of technical and commercial proposals in response to RFQs, RFIs, and engineering changes.
  • Analyze customer specifications and determine optimal manufacturing solutions.
  • Create project scopes, conceptual designs, cost estimates, and commercial proposals.
  • Participate in customer meetings, RFQ reviews, and technical presentations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Controls, Sales, and Project Management teams.
  • Evaluate production risks and develop creative technical solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and business development activities.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline OR 5+ years of engineering/proposal experience.
  • 3+ years of proposal engineering, estimating, manufacturing, or automation engineering experience.
  • Experience developing technical proposals and customer-facing presentations.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation, assembly systems, robotics, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
