Position Title: Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse (APRN) - Psych Certified
Location: Gainesville, FL
Salary: $120,000 - $154,438.20) Annually | Exempt

About the Role

As the Advanced Practitioner Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational excellence and strategic direction of Meridian. You will:

  • Lead enterprise-wide quality improvement initiatives to foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Oversee risk management strategies to ensure safety, compliance, and proactive mitigation.
  • Direct the medical records department, ensuring HIPAA compliance and data integrity.
  • Guide marketing and communications to elevate brand visibility and community engagement.
  • Manage facilities operations to maintain safe, welcoming environments for clients and staff.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning, policy development, and performance metrics.
  • Serve as a thought leader and change agent, championing innovation and operational best practices.


What We're Looking For

  • Preform psychiatric evaluations, medication evaluation and monitoring, and psychiatric treatment.
  • Collaborate with the overseeing physician(s), develop and comply with ARNP protocols approved by the Nurse Practice Act, Florida Statutes, Chapter 464, Florida Board of Nursing Rules 210 -11 and 210 - 16, Administrative Policies Pertaining to Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners, Florida Administrative Code.
  • Work cohesively as a member of the Forensics Multidisciplinary team inclusive of team lead/clinician, clinician, care coordinators and peer recovery specialist. Client services provided in office telehealth, home or community.
  • Initiate requests for ancillary testing and referral to specialty areas.
  • Provide individual and/or family education to increase each patient's awareness of illness and treatment issues.
  • Maintain appropriate medical records and documentation in accordance with Meridian guidelines.
  • Promote team approach to patient care through creating and maintaining professional working relationships with physicians and support staff.
  • Maintain and increase level of expertise by attending Continuing Education events within the Center and the community.
  • Assist in maintaining infection control activities and safety standards according to established policy and procedures.
  • Interacts with community agencies and resources.
  • Performs other duties as required to meet program and departmental goals and objectives.


Who are we looking for?

  • BSN and Florida Licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. Experience in mental health or community service organizations is preferred. Must be able to function independently and interdependently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • **MUST HOLD PSYCHIATRIC CERTIFICATION**
  • ** Must be able to type at least 16 wpm on prescreen assessment and score at least 65% on general assessment.
