Pay Range:
$86.75 - $138.80
Major Responsibilities- Participates as a member of Service Line senior management, providing leadership and subject matter expertise across the Northern Wisconsin market.
- Represents the Service Line in Division and Area initiatives related to access, teammate engagement, patient experience, and quality.
- Partners with leadership to evaluate, prioritize, and model financial impact of strategic programs and clinical initiatives.
- Leads monthly operational performance reviews, monitors budgets, analyzes variances, and implements corrective actions.
- Develops and implements annual business plans, growth strategies, and operational objectives aligned with Service Line and Area priorities.
- Oversees ambulatory services across the care continuum, ensuring clinical quality, patient safety, and operational efficiency.
- Builds and leads high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, engagement, and accountability.
- Supports program planning for new facilities and services; leads integration and optimization of operations and best practices.
- Partners with physician and nursing leaders to advance clinical programs and innovation.
- Leads negotiation, oversight, and management of physician contracts to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Directly manages service line administrative leaders, including hiring, development, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Leads workforce strategy, including staffing, leadership development, and retention efforts.
- Collaborates on development and management of operating and capital budgets and long-term financial planning.
- Identifies and implements efficiency opportunities and value capture initiatives across sites of care.
- Monitors financial, quality, and operational performance metrics and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
- Champions patient safety, quality improvement, and patient experience efforts in partnership with clinical leadership.
- Supports development and implementation of new programs and services based on community and market needs.
- Partners with marketing and community relations to enhance access and awareness of services.
- May support academic mission by aligning clinical operations with research, education, and innovation initiatives.
- Leads talent management processes including performance management, succession planning, and team development.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field.
Certification / Registration / License
Work Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of healthcare administrative experience, including at least 5 years of progressively responsible management experience overseeing clinical operations or service lines.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities- Strong communication skills with ability to promote transparency and collaboration.
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare planning, operations, and financial management.
- Proven ability to lead large, multispecialty service lines in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Exceptional relationship-building and change management capabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions- Standard office environment.
- Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform job duties.
- Regular travel throughout assigned Area(s).
Preferred Job RequirementsEducation
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or related field, or a terminal degree such as PhD, JD, or PharmD.
