Position Summary

Responsible for maintaining/increasing sales volume and margin with existing and new accounts. Products to be supported primarily include elastomeric vibration isolation and motion control devices, active vibration control systems, and sensing systems. Accountable for executing assigned sales goals and sales plans within designated premier and strategic customers. Responsible for business development activities for the Industrial Electromechanical Systems business.

Proactively works with all divisional management and related support departments to ensure on time customer service needs are met or exceeded. Represents company at trade shows and other professional activities. Reports to Division Sales & Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

Develops and maintains strong client relationships with customers while meeting position objectives.

Ensures Parker products are specified to maintain and increase revenue by prioritizing the opportunities on an account-by-account basis to obtain optimum sales and margin results.

Develops and maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of group/divisional products, applications, features, advantages, and benefits.

Keeps up with internal and external training and development.

Obtain specifications and approvals at key accounts to develop increased sales opportunities and margins.

Develops and maintains comprehensive knowledge of competitive products and their activity in the marketplace and provides reports, on a regular and/or monthly basis.

Keeps management aware of changes which would affect the sales of Parker products.

Participates in the development and implementation of appropriate response strategies.

Assists the divisions in planning strategy to provide the products and service required for their assigned accounts. Actively supports cross divisional and other group products with proper referrals.

Coordinates and provides product training at customer locations.

Provides sales direction to Parker. Assists in the conversion of competitive accounts to Parker.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other related discipline and five or more years of related experience.

Understanding of applicable product technologies, industry practices, company and competitor products, and service capabilities highly preferred.

Ability to travel as necessary (potentially up to 75% of the time) with limited notice.
