Full Job Description
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • F&B Social Media:
    • Own and manage Instagram accounts for all F&B outlets across Santa Monica Proper and Downtown LA Proper, from strategy through daily execution
    • Develop and maintain distinct content voices and calendars for each property's outlets while ensuring overall brand consistency
    • Create and publish content including feed posts, stories, and short-form video
    • Capture or coordinate photography and video for daily social content across both properties
    • Monitor, respond to, and engage with comments, DMs, and mentions across all F&B social channels
    • Identify and engage user-generated content from guests dining and drinking at F&B outlets at both properties

  • Listings & Online Presence:

    • Own and maintain all F&B outlet listings across both properties on platforms including OpenTable, Google My Business, Yelp, and any additional relevant directories
    • Ensure all listing content is accurate, current, and consistent, including hours, menus, photos, descriptions, and contact information
    • Monitor and respond to guest reviews across all platforms in a manner consistent with brand standards
    • Manage seasonal and promotional updates across listings, including holiday hours, special menus, and event information
    • Track listing performance metrics, including search visibility and review ratings, and share insights with F&B and marketing leadership at both properties

  • F&B Programming & Promotions:

    • Lead the development and promotion of F&B-specific programming across both properties, including seasonal menu launches, holiday specials, pairing dinners, and culinary events
    • Build and manage F&B programming calendars for each property in close coordination with culinary and beverage leadership
    • Develop promotional strategies for each activation across social, email, on-property collateral, and web
    • Coordinate with operations teams at each property to ensure seamless execution of F&B activations and events
    • Align F&B programming calendars with the broader hotel programming calendars managed by the Director of Marketing

  • Design & Creative Production:

    • Coordinate all F&B design and collateral needs across both properties, including menus, signage, check presenters, table cards, and promotional materials. Manage menu rollout processes from concept through production at each property, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment, and timely delivery
    • Assist Area Director of Marketing in planning, coordination, and execution of F&B photoshoots at both properties, including shot lists, vendor coordination, and asset management
    • Brief corporate creative and design teams on F&B projects and manage the review and approval process
    • Maintain organized asset libraries for all F&B creative materials across both properties

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with F&B leadership, Executive Chefs, and Beverage Directors at both Santa Monica Proper and Downtown LA Proper
    • Coordinate regularly with the Area Director of Marketing and corporate marketing teams to ensure F&B marketing aligns with broader property strategy at each location
    • Maintain open communication across both properties on upcoming programming, menu changes, and content needs to support property-wide amplification
    • Assist Area Director of Marketing in larger property & regional hotel initiatives, as decided by the Director and other leaders.

  • Analytics & Reporting:

    • Track and report on F&B social performance, engagement metrics, and audience growth across both properties
    • Monitor promotional campaign performance and share insights with F&B and marketing leadership


Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, social media management, or a related role
  • Background in food and beverage, hospitality, or lifestyle brands preferred
  • Experience managing multiple accounts, locations, or brands simultaneously preferred
  • Portfolio demonstrating social content and/or marketing collateral work required


Skills/Specialized Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of Instagram, including stories, reels, and platform-specific content formats
  • Content creation skills including mobile photography, video capture, and basic editing
  • Strong writing instincts and ability to adapt voice across distinct outlet identities
  • Experience coordinating design or creative production, including familiarity with the creative briefing process
  • Familiarity with third-party listing platforms including OpenTable, Google My Business, and Yelp
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with culinary and operations teams across multiple locations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across two properties
  • Comfortable working in restaurant and bar environments, including during service hours
  • Ability to manage time and priorities independently across a multi-property schedule
  • Familiarity with social analytics and performance tracking tools
  • Genuine interest in food culture, beverage, and the restaurant industry
