Job Title: Facilities Area Manager (G32)
Requisition Summary
The Facilities Area Manager is responsible for daily building operations at PACCAR Engine Company. The Facilities Area Manager will also directly manage implementation of key major new facility construction projects. The role will have both facility operations and project management responsibilities.
The successful candidate will lead the existing Facilities support team to deliver increasing customer service to all occupants at the corporate building. The Facilities Area Manager will interact frequently with senior management. Projects that could be assigned include field offices, manufacturing expansions, and distribution facilities world-wide. Smooth project delivery is the goal while meeting cost, quality, and schedule objectives. High transparency, clear communications, and flexibility are attributes that will contribute to exceeding leadership expectations.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
• Operate the building and support evolving building occupants' space and furniture needs
• Ensure smooth-running operations and expand the capabilities of the Facilities team
• Plan and manage annual operating budgets
• Expand service quality with professional processes and key performance measurements
• Work directly with senior management on high visibility projects
• Maintain the physical structures and plan for needed projects
Major Facilities Project Management
• Set up project execution strategies and obtain division stakeholder objectives consensus
• Work with stakeholders to define scopes, establish design concepts, and set cost expectations
• Secure internal project approvals
• Procure design and construction services
• Track and anticipate project change and make forecast adjustments
• Monitor project performance, resolve issues, and report regularly
• Ensure quality design and construction and adherence to standard PACCAR methods
• Advise field-based division project managers on latest technologies and methods
• Demonstrated experience managing large industrial and commercial construction projects.
• Experience and ongoing involvement with IFMA or related professional societies.
• Knowledge of building codes and project management methods.
• Experience with sustainable design and construction
• Experience handling facility operations and project work simultaneously
• Highest quality written and oral communication skills
• Comfort with a high-transparency operating style
• Ability to absorb requests for change with a flexible friendly style
Education
Bachelor's degree REQUIRED. MBA preferred.
