Job Title: General Manager - Toronto, ON (G 32)

LOCATION: Mississauga, ON

Requisition Summary

The General Manager of the Toronto (Mississauga) Company Store has overall responsibility for the branch location with general comprehensive oversight of PACCAR's investment in the location. The General Manager develops business plans, goals and objectives and carries out appropriate actions to achieve them. General area of responsibility includes:

Job Functions / Responsibilities
  • Profit and Loss responsibility for assigned company store.
  • Business Plan Management to include annual and long-term planning, capital budget process, continuous improvement initiatives, reconciliation of actual vs. planned performance, leveraging industry trends and data driven methodology.
  • Financial Management to include P&L, ratings (lease and rental), rental utilization, asset management, credit and collections, billing, accounts receivables, licensing and registration compliance, insurance compliance, fuel-tax compliance, and accounting system activities.
  • Oversight of Shop Management and managing by exception the Service Manager and general shop operations. Key areas of responsibilities and reporting under the Service Manager will include, but not limited to, preventative maintenance management, inspection performance, (daily, weekly, monthly) budgeting of expenses, staffing requirements, scheduling, warranty claim processing, vendor program compliance, customer relations and conducting regular safety and shop meetings.
  • Sales management (Lease and Rental), customer retention and relations, planning and staff management to include developing market growth strategies to maximize profitable customer penetration and create incremental product sales for PacLease. Additional responsibilities will oversee market evaluation, sales presentations, rate preparation, sales staff goal setting / motivation, used truck sales, and franchise network relationship management.
  • Staff Management including weekly staff meetings, personnel evaluations, performance management, staffing, employee development and team motivation.
  • Foster and grow a shared vision on team building.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Eight to ten years of related sales and/or management experience, preferably in a full-service leasing environment.
  • Strong leadership, management, organization skills, communication skills (presenting, influencing, negotiating, networking), self-motivation, and adaptability are essential.
  • Experience with CRM Systems.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Commercial equipment specification expertise, preferably in heavy commercial truck industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Shop and Service Operations.
  • Collaborate across teams, influence others.
  • Achieve results through managerial effectiveness.
  • Act with Integrity


Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • MBA preferred
