The Healthcare Architectural Construction Administrator will be required to work 1-2 days a week onsite for the duration of a project and will serve as a technical quality leader within the design team, providing expertise in architectural design, construction documents, construction, building codes, and project coordination across a diverse range of healthcare project types. The ideal candidate will have healthcare experience, particularly OSHPD 1 facilities, and will work closely with the design and project teams to ensure technical quality, code compliance, and successful project execution throughout the project lifecycle.
What you will do:
- Effectively coordinates their own work and the work of others using BIM and other design technology.
- Able to QA/QC most construction documents.
- Assists in ensuring compliance with design intent, and that their work, and the work they supervise, is completed efficiently as planned.
- Coordinates with the Project Manager or Project Director to ensure project resources are scheduled and used effectively.
- Communicates with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and project team to clarify technical issues and share project information with project team.
- Interpret and understand how consultant documents and ours relate to each other with consideration of potential "clashes."
- Understanding and preparing documents that are constructable.
- Production of design and construction documents, and actively working towards a complete understanding of jurisdictional code issues and resolutions
- Actively participates in researching construction materials, assemblies, and details.
- Responsible for quality control of their own work and knowledge of and maintaining Taylor Design office standards for documentation.
- Actively participate in QA reviews of technical documents.
What you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or equivalent educational
- Minimum of 8+years' experience in a professional architectural office setting
- Construction Administration experience of 5+ years
- Strong field experience with HCAI projects
- Good to Excellent Revit knowledge as well as MS Suite
- CSI and CDT certification preferred (not required)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in Health Care
