Your Role

As a Gensler Architect, it's your job to lead a team of architects and technical designers to deliver unparalleled architectural projects. Leverage your industry experience and technical acumen to drive client projects from concept through build.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate on projects across several practice areas
  • Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
  • Documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)
  • Resolve complex technical and design issues
  • Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
  • Provide project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
  • Participate and/or lead in the construction administration of projects and review of submittals and finish samples
  • Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs


Your Qualifications

  • Accredited degree in Architecture
  • Licensed in British Columbia (AIBC)
  • 12+ years of experience in a commercial design firm
  • Experience in core & shell architecture and interiors
  • Proficiency with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office
  • Experience managing multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, and civil consultants
  • Experience resolving complex technical and design issues
  • Experience performing zoning and code analysis in multiple jurisdictions
  • Understanding of how buildings are constructed, along with the ability to create technical documents that succinctly, thoroughly, and accurately describe the work to be done
  • Understanding of sustainable and universal design concepts
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Previous experience in sustainable design projects preferable; especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel and /or Net Zero Building certification

**The base salary range will be estimated between $105,000 - $130,000. Gensler's total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
