Job RoleApplications Engineers help Arm's partners working on cutting-edge technology to build the best possible SoC design integrating Arm CPUs and System IP. Applications Engineering is a dynamic, deeply technical role. You will provide technical mentorship on IP integration, configuration, and performance to Arm's collaborators. This involves investigating issues, identifying solutions through RTL simulations, and clearly communicating your findings.
Working with customers means that you will need to understand what they want to achieve, analyse their various requests, issues and provide a solution that moves them forward. Every day you'll be faced with a different set of technical challenges on a variety of different products.
Key Responsibilities- Provide fast and accurate answers to partner questions about Arm CPU & System IP
- Develop and deliver technical training courses on CPU & System IP, both onsite and remotely
- Perform customer SoC build reviews using ARM IP and provide functionality and optimisation recommendations, working onsite as well as from remote locations
- Work with Arm IP design and product management teams to improve partners experience and influence IP feature development
- Test IP work and provide feedback to the establish team prior to release to customers
- Create and modify web-based knowledge base articles and application notes
- Develop tools and techniques to aid Application Engineers solve problems more efficiently
Key Technical Skills & Expertise- BSc Degree or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (ECE) or equivalent
- Excellent understanding of HDLs such as Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL
- Very good knowledge of CPU architecture principles and SoC design principles
- Ability to use RTL simulation tools for debugging purposes
- Any tools like: Visual Studio code, Vim/text editor flow, waveform viewers like Questasim, Verdi, Cadence Simvision, Xcelium
- Ability to work with remote teams
"Nice to Have" Skills & Expertise- Knowledge of one or more AMBA bus protocols
- Knowledge of the Arm Architecture
- Knowledge of System Coherency concepts
- Knowledge of PCIe, CXL, and/or UCIe specifications

Salary Range: $130,100-$176,000 per year
