DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position focuses on developing, maintaining, and supporting applications that serve the Juvenile Court Judges' Commission. It plays a key role in strengthening agency systems and ensuring that technology solutions meet user needs. As an Applications Developer 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Application Development: Design, build, and maintain agency applications to support operational needs
- System Analysis: Evaluate business processes and user requirements to shape effective technical solutions
- Database Design: Prepare database structures and manage ongoing updates to support data integrity
- Testing Procedures: Conduct system tests, prepare test plans, and ensure quality through structured testing methods
- Technical Support: Provide guidance to users, developers, and stakeholders on system functions and technology options
- Security Compliance: Apply information security practices when determining roles, planning recovery procedures, and managing access

Work Schedule and Additional Information:- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, schedule to be established. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office Shippensburg University. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or
- Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or
- A bachelor's degree in any information technology field.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Legal Requirements: - You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
