Transform Healthcare Data into Meaningful InsightsUCLA Health is seeking a highly analytical and collaborative
Clinical Informatics Specialist 3 to support the development, optimization, and maintenance of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. In this role, you will leverage clinical, financial, and operational data to create actionable insights that improve decision-making, patient care, and organizational performance.
What You'll Do- Design, develop, test, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data extracts using tools such as Epic Clarity, Caboodle, Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, and other analytics platforms.
- Partner with clinical, operational, and executive stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver impactful data solutions.
- Analyze complex healthcare data and transform it into meaningful, actionable information.
- Maintain reporting data models, metrics, and metadata to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
- Support analytics application upgrades, process improvements, and ongoing operational reporting needs.
- Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for data, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives.
Salary RangeSalary offers are based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and internal equity. The full salary range for this position is $98,200 - $214,600 annually. The University anticipates offering a salary between the minimum and midpoint of this range.

REQUIRED
- At least 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare organization.
- Equivalent experience in a programming/analytic/information systems role, with an emphasis on SQL programming.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional judgment and discretion in interacting with physicians and senior management on sensitive political and confidential issues.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and other database management and business intelligence software.
PREFERRED
- Knowledge of current issues in data management and SQL particularly in a healthcare environment including quality measurement, outcomes studies, healthcare finance, and patient safety.
- One or more Epic Clarity Data Model certifications.
